According to Cao Jian, executive vice chairman of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, “the injection molding process, as one of the most representative molding methods in the plastics industry, has become an important technical support for the rapid development of my country’s modern manufacturing industry”. Injection molding machines are gradually moving towards full automation, and traditional injection molding is gradually being overturned.

It is understood that the vertical injection molding machine among the injection molding machines is one of the most widely used types of injection molding machines in China, a major producer in the world, and is also the main force in China's injection molding machine exports. However, for a long time, China's injection molding machine industry has had a severe import and export profit deficit. The main reason is the lack of skill content of the injection molding machine itself. With the continuous acceleration of China's domestic automation, the injection molding machine profession that trusts China will soon be supported by relatively high foreign skills, and will be upgraded and transformed, closely following the pace of the world. The first part is to improve from the level of skills, gradually moving from non-active or semi-active injection molding machines to full automation, which is also just around the corner. However, it mainly refers to ordinary injection molding machines. In most types of super large, various special, special-purpose and fine injection molding machines, some products are still blank, which is the main distance from industrialized countries.

It has been more than 50 years since the introduction of the screw-type plastic injection molding machine with technological innovation in the 1950s. Currently, 80% of the engineering plastics industry uses injection molding. In recent years, the increasing demand for injection molding products in industries such as automobiles, construction, household appliances, food, and medicine has promoted the development and progress of injection molding skills. China Plastics Machinery's sales in 2000 were around 7 billion yuan, about 85,000 units in terms of the number of units, of which 40% were injection molding machines. Judging from the major producing countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, Italy, and Canada, the output value of injection molding machines is increasing year by year, accounting for the largest proportion of plastic machinery.

In recent years, China's injection molding machine industry has been developed by leaps and bounds. The injection molding machine products produced are already sufficient to satisfy the fundamental domestic market demand, and the proportion of exports is also increasing year by year. However, from the perspective of skills, the overall skill level of China's injection molding machine products is not high, and there is still a certain distance from foreign injection molding machine products, and the industry needs to be upgraded.
